The finish line

Another rainy weekend did its best to thwart our plan to get the mower (he has a name now and it’s Kirby-a nod to a segment in Patton Oswalt’s Netflix standup special entitled “I Love Everything”—hilarious) and the garage placed in the yard but, we prevailed (mostly).

We are still weeks away from receipt of the circuit board Cameron designed which, after closer examination, he believes to be the cause of some of the electrical issues we encountered today. The parts he bought as interim placeholders failed to meet the mark in that they were functionally misrepresented as being of a higher capacity than they actually are. More on that later. For now, I share a few stills and a video.

Temporary electrical configuration
Initial placement-I think the color blends well.
Bush trimming and mulch are next
Some kinks to work out

The HOA does quarterly inspections here and they’re very strict. I wish more of how cute this thing is was visible but we have reason to believe the HOA will require us to relocate it to the back yard and camouflage it further. Sigh. We will see.

It’s still pouring here but we braved the elements to push this project mostly over the finish line. I hope you all had a fun weekend; I myself can’t wait to get back to having fun with lasers again!

Seriously, this is so cute. I can’t stand it! And if your HOA makes you move it, I think they are soulless. It’s truly adorable.

This is so cute! I would be really ticked off if the HOA made me move it! Kudos to both Cameron and you!

Thanks Debbie. There is a possibility that they won’t want us to have it at all so I’m hoping for the best. I chose the green color to keep it from being obtrusive. Wish us luck!
