Good evening everybody! I hope you’ve had a great weekend and that something delicious and Mexican will grace your tastebuds tomorrow.
In the unfolding of the story about the lawnmower robot I share that it has been mowing our lawn successfully, with two temporary satellite connection disruptions, since the beginning of April. It is a point of curiosity among neighbors and passers by, most of whom take it in as utterly novel. These robots seem to be more pervasive in Western Europe.
The “garage” for the robot is moving forward, but slowly due to the early choice of the most complicated door mechanism (remember, having never baked a single thing Cameron chose croissants for his first foray). For added complexity and subsequent convenience Cameron is integrating a home automation software to enable monitoring and control from an iPhone or computer. These add ons take more time to make happen. So while I don’t have anything pretty to show you this week I do have a video about the electrical components that will automate the lifting and lowering of the garage door.
I know I keep saying this but, I’m REALLY hoping to have something pretty to show you at the end of next weekend. The next five days are about the moon for Cameron. The mission is drawing closer and the excitement is building. I’m personally excited because the mission will be a full circle moment for Cameron whose interest in aerospace began with the first moon landing. Now here he is, working a lunar mission. So cool!
