Greetings everybody, I hope everyone is enjoying some down time this weekend. We stay busy making things; maybe you’re making things too?
The next few weeks are going to focus pretty heavily on this robot mower and building the garage for it. We are also planning to have a patio installed in the back yard between our porch and the steps to the basement. But for today, Cameron wanted to get some real life (as opposed to theoretical) experience with the robot. I have a video below that is longer than most at 14 minutes and would bore me in the middle. The beginning third and ending third are better but I included it all in case anyone is considering buying one or is just genuinely curious about how it works. The promotional videos put out by Mammotion are great, but sometimes it’s enlightening to see what it looks like when a real life end user gets their hands on it. So this video is geared toward folks who want to see the down and dirty. Spoiler alert, so far the Luba 2 is keeping its promises. I was pleased by the ease with which it handled the slope at the side of our house. It’s also really quiet, no gas fumes, and at only 40/50 pounds in weight I think it’s going to be a lot easier on the turf than the enormous zero turn tractor our former lawn service used.
Excuse the turf; it’s still dormant and looks awful. It was such a nice day here for some test runs that we filmed it anyway.
And, okay, here is a little bonus. I’m persisting on my sourdough journey, aspiring to be a much better bread scorer than I am. But we show our successes and failures here so, here you go. I will say that despite my honey bee not turning out as beautifully as I’d like, the bread itself is very good! Moist, tender, airy crumb with a crunchy, chewy crust! Yum!

Until next time…
