Decorative air vent cover in white acrylic

Hello again! I hope everyone had a fun weekend; any makers out there doing something new?

We have been making some gifts and also working in a few projects of our own. One, a decorative cover for the back of cabinets we used to make a kitchen island, is still in the prep stage. The design we chose will take two hours to cut each panel so we won’t be able to show that until next weekend. But we did finally get the white acrylic air vent cover for the kitchen done and, excepting for the crooked cut out by the builder and some minor scraping and touch up that needs to be done I’m super happy with it.

Cameron’s concern that I will want these acrylic covers all over the house is well founded…

If you’ve been following us you know we’ve done these in painted wood and also using white magnet material. I like this one the best; I think the aesthetic is great, sleek and modern, and it’s practical in that it will be easy to clean. If you’re interested in seeing the last part of the cut, here it is.

Masked white acrylic

I really need a GoPro-filming with one hand and unmasking with the other ????.

So what do you think? Acrylic covers all around?

Thank you! We have covered all but 3 or 4 already using this design except for the ones in my sewing and craft rooms where I used a daisy design. Some are cut out of the heavy rolls of magnetic sheeting and others are made of 1/4” plywood sanded and painted white. The acrylic is by far my favorite. If you haven’t seen the daisy covers you can scroll back through the posts for vent covers. They’re fun!
