Elves at work

Hi again! Today I’m posting final photos of the layered wood sign we painted and glued. It’s 20” round and Cameron blurred out the family name to keep the surprise in good stead. Things on the web travel fast! I was unable to capture the metallic paint, but the white and silver are metallic.

I also finished the Christmas wall hanging. Here again, capturing the glint of the metallic and holographic threads was hard. You have to zoom in and honestly, seeing it in person beats the photos. Instead of a traditional binding for the perimeter I used the Wave stitch-inspired by my friend Gail. Thank you Gail!

The lettering and half square triangles were cut on the laser. It’s amazing how much more accurate my squares are when I start with pieces that are exactly the same size.

Thanks for looking in on us; more tomorrow!
