When traditional hand drawing and cutting render a better result

I finished another Van Gogh inspired piece today and wanted to share because this is one of the few times I can say I think the variability of something hand drawn and hand cut renders a better result. Nuanced variation, I think, is key to something more reflective of nature. I think I’m done with my odes to Vincent…unless I decide to make a bigger version of the smaller landscape I did. We’ll see!

We miss you Vincent!
I hope you like it ????

Love the color and texture! But that’s really interesting about the hand cut variability difference.

    1. Cameron’s Rezo Laser Build

Some day I’m going to hand draw a dozen small feather shapes and have Cameron digitize them to try another bird. I’ve done a flamingo and a heron by hand and they were both a lot of handwork.
