Pencil engraving jig-because you can engrave anything

I don’t mean to bombard your inbox but this is too fun not to share! I had seen someone else engrave pencils and thought OHHHH! The perfect companion to the notebooks!

Cameron made jigs for both of the pencil shapes; the pastels are triangular instead of hexagonal. Take a look!

First try at engraving pencils!

We had some creative differences regarding the depth of the engraving but Cameron indulged my request for 20% power on the pastel colored pencils ????. Can I just say that Cameron amazed me again tonight with these jigs! He’s just sooo good at precision and spatial problem solving! He gets a kick out of how mystified I am by his solutions; I think he thinks it’s all very elementary but it isn’t to me!

Pastel pencils-triangular.
Ta-daaaa! How fun is this?

So there you have it! In case anyone is wondering, Gabey is the correct but irregular spelling of the name of the absolute angel who took on the one day old abandoned kitten in our window well. I wanted to do something nice for her since she takes the little kitten back and forth to work with her and gives her outstanding care! She weighs a whole pound now but it appears she is blind ????. Gabey is completely undaunted by this and is unswerving in her commitment to making sure this kitty lives her best life.

She named her Potato ????

I think somebody’s going to be very happy with the pencils and notebooks, they are so cool! (That kitten is absolutely adorable, Gabey really was her angel!)
