Custom acrylic insert for my Sashiko machine and Koala Cabinet

Hi everybody! Happy Friday to those who are celebrating the arrival of another weekend! I’m super excited to bring you this new make; it’s so fun as well as being functional! Having what ever machine you’re sewing with sit flush to your sewing table/cabinet is wonderful for long sessions while making a project. Today’s sewing machine cabinets, many of them, have electric lifts upon which you set the machine and a large opening for machines so you can continue to use the table with multiple machines, just swapping them out and raising or lowering the base to fit the height of the bed of your machine. Then a custom insert or surround, if you will, is ordered to fit the machine and the opening of your cabinet like a glove. Sew Steady is a dominant player in this arena but if you have a laser, not only can you cut your own but you can make them really pretty/customize them to suit your whims! And oh what fun I’m having with this! We still had scrap 1/4” acrylic left over from the lid of the laser so it is almost a free insert ????. Cameron, as usual, totally indulged my design ideas and I have several more designs in my head for the remaining inserts to be made. For now, here is the one for my Sashiko machine!

I’m so excited!
Even more excited!
TOTALLY THRILLED!

Isn’t that way more fun than a plain one?!? Woooo hoooo! More laser goodness ahead this weekend!

Thought I’d add a few stills.
Can you tell how in love with this I am ????
Excited to make the rest of them!
