Well, that was a lot more work than I was expecting but the bed is in! I went with Phillip Danner’s ball screw lift mod. I like the ball screws however I think the original bed lift might be easier to install. It took both days this weekend to tap all the holes in the brackets, press the bushings in, make some modifications to brackets to accommodate some specifics about my build, make some adjustments to the top bearings so that things fit together, and finally to assemble it all. I still have to mount the motor and make the drive belt. That will have to wait for another day.
I did not have to modify my honeycomb though it is a tight fit. I think the bed frame could have used a couple of mm more length and width to make the honeycomb a perfect fit. This is probably just down to manufacturing variations in the honeycomb.
